What Sets Whitlow Dental Care Apart
Whitlow Dental Care is a third-generation, family-rooted dental practice serving Fresno and the Central Valley. Dr. Dean Whitlow founded the practice in 1957 and built its current downtown Fresno location in 1963. Today, Dr. Kurt Whitlow continues that tradition with a focus on implant dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, dentures, cosmetic care, and sedation dentistry.
Our mission is to restore oral health, function, and confident smiles while treating every patient according to the Golden Rule: with the same care, respect, and honesty we would want for our own families. Many of our patients span multiple generations, and our long-tenured team helps create a familiar, personal experience at every visit.
Dr. Kurt Whitlow
Dr. Kurt R. Whitlow, DDS, is a third-generation Fresno dentist who has served patients in the Central Valley for more than 35 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno in 1984 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1987.
His clinical focus includes single-tooth dental implants and implant-supported bridges, snap-on dentures, fixed full-arch implant prostheses, full-mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry, and sedation dentistry. Dr. Whitlow has placed more than 7,000 dental implants and has completed thousands of full-arch rehabilitations involving crowns, bridges, implants, and dentures.

Dr. Whitlow also mentors college students and fellow dentists, supports dental assistant internships, and has taught implant-focused seminars in his office and elsewhere in California. Through the Christian Medical and Dental Association, he has participated in dental service trips to the Dominican Republic and communities in California’s Central Valley.
Meet Our Team
Rose
Registered Dental Assistant
Rose completed her training and received her license from Brightwood College. She has been part of our team since October 2020. She is soft spoken and very calming. You will usually find her assisting Dr. Yau.
Nicole
Registered Dental Assistant
Nicole received her training and Registered Dental Assistant license from Reedley College. She has been part of the Whitlow Dental Care team since 2013. Nicole is our implant coordinator. She makes sure that we have all of the necessary implant items needed for each procedure. Nicole helps make patients feel comfortable and addresses any concerns they may have.
Alex
Appointment Coordinator/ Registered Dental Assistant
Alex works both in the back office and in the front office so she can easily answer any procedure questions you may have. Alex attended Reedley College and started her career as a Registered Dental Assistant. She is bilingual so she can assist any of our Spanish-speaking patients. Alex has been part of Whitlow Dental Care since 2004.
Darci
Office Manager/Accounts Coordinator
Darci is our office manager and accounts coordinator. She makes sure our office runs smoothly and efficiently with patient care being of the utmost importance. Darci can help you with any questions that you may have regarding your account. You can rest assured that all of your insurance concerns will be addressed and handled quickly and efficiently. Darci has been with the Whitlow Dental Care family since May 2010.
Gabriel
Lab Technician
Gabriel is our Lab Technician and works in our on-site dental laboratory. He has been creating dental appliances for over 15 years. He strives to make your new smile look as natural as possible. Gabriel has been part of the Whitlow Dental Team since September 2020.
